Job Overview:
Expected to work as a valued team member of the shipping and receiving operations. This job will consist of delivering glass product throughout the United States and local deliveries as needed. Daily use of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) will be required. The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate Company owned and leased trucks over 4 tons to facilitate shipping and receiving operations
- Operate trucks for delivery, pick-up and relocation of glass products and materials
- Perform required before, during and after-operation “user maintenance” and provide required reports
- Provide best-in-class customer service during delivery and pick-up operations
- Operate all MHE
- Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA
- Maintain in excellent condition all property entrusted to you
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Training:
- CDL
- 2 years’ experience as OTR Truck Driver
- Must be able to learn and operate all MHE
- Ability to stay over-night multiple nights per week
- Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safer manner
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged sitting, driving, and MHE operation
- Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions; both hot and cold
