Tempered glass offered by Dreamwalls by Gardner Glass Products is produced in accordance with ASTM C 1048 Standard Specification for Heat-Treated Flat Glass – Kind Fully Tempered. The glass selected for use in tempered glass has been manufactured in compliance with ASTM C 1036 Standard Specification for Flat Glass.

1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, 3/16″, and 5/32″ transparent tempered glass is also in compliance with ANSI Z97.1 and CPSC 16 CFR 1201

Glass Break Comparison

When broken, tempered glass crumbles into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards like annealed (non-tempered) glass. These chunks are less likely to cause injury, which is why tempered glass is considered a type of safety glass.
